{"id":19322,"date":"2023-01-27T12:41:53","date_gmt":"2023-01-27T04:41:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mtcc.com.my\/?p=19322"},"modified":"2026-04-15T14:50:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T14:50:57","slug":"public-consultation-on-mtcs-gd-10022023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mtcc.monyads.com\/bm\/public-consultation-on-mtcs-gd-10022023\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Consultation on MTCS GD 1002:2023\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Guidelines on Application of Requirements for Non-Timber Forest Products Certification\u00a0in MTCS ST 1002:2021\u00a0Malaysian Criteria and Indicators for Sustainable Forest Management\u00a0under the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MTCC Stakeholder Dialogue 2022 held on 31 October \u2013 1 November 2022 in\u00a0Kuala Lumpur was organized to seek feedback from the stakeholders on the certification of forest plantations established after the cut-off date of 31 December 2010 and to create awareness and obtain input on developing a guidance document on certifying non-timber forest products (NTFP) under the MTCS.\u00a0The summary report of the MTCC Stakeholder Dialogue 2022 is available\u00a0<strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/mtcc.monyads.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Report-MTCC-Stakeholder-Dialogue-2022-26-Jan-2023.pdf\">here<\/a><\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the Dialogue, stakeholders were informed about the draft guidance document on certifying NTFP under the MTCS, and their inputs were recorded and compiled, which included a recommendation for more time for the stakeholders to study the draft guidance document and provide input\/feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this connection, MTCC is pleased to subject the MTCS GD 1002:2023&nbsp;<em>Guidelines on Application of Requirements for Non-Timber Forest Products Certification in MTCS ST 1002:2021 Malaysian Criteria and Indicators for Sustainable Forest Management under the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme<\/em>&nbsp;for public comment starting&nbsp;<strong>27 January to 26 February 2022 (30-days).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stakeholders are invited to submit comments or feedback on the guidance document.
