Announcement on the Review of the Malaysian Criteria and Indicators for Forest Management Certification (Natural Forest) [MC&I(Natural Forest)]<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Malaysian Criteria and Indicators for Forest Management Certification (Natural Forest), or in short MC&I(Natural Forest) which is the standard used for forest management certification of the natural forest under the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) since July 2012 is now due for a review.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the MTCS technical document entitled <\/span>Rules on Standard Setting Process for Development of Timber Certification Standards<\/em> (SSP3\/2014), the forest management standard used is required to be reviewed at least every five years in order to ensure continuous improvement. It is anticipated that the entire review process would take 22 months and would involve the conduct of public comments on enquiry draft, meetings of Standards Review Committee (SRC) and regional consultations. The review of the MC&I(Natural Forest) is expected to be concluded in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on the outcome of the MTCC Stakeholder Dialogue 2015 held on 28 July, the upcoming review of the MC&I(Natural Forest) will consider merging and incorporating the requirements of the MC&I Forest Plantation.v2 into a single document.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Pengumuman Semakan Semula Kriteria dan Petunjuk Malaysia bagi Pensijilan Pengurusan Hutan (Hutan Asli) [MC&I(Hutan Asli)]<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Kriteria dan Petunjuk Malaysia bagi Pensijilan Pengurusan Hutan (Hutan Asli) atau secara ringkasnya MC&I(Hutan Asli), adalah merupakan standard yang digunakan untuk pensijilan pengurusan hutan asli di bawah Skim Pensijilan Kayu Malaysia (MTCS) sejak bulan Julai 2012 dan kini perlu disemak semula.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Menurut <\/span>Peraturan Proses Penetapan Standard untuk Membangunkan Standard Pensijilan Kayu<\/em> (<\/span>Rules on Standard Setting Process for Development of Timber Certification Standards<\/em>) (SSP3\/2014) di bawah MTCS, suatu standard pengurusan hutan perlu disemak semula dalam tempoh tidak melebihi 5 tahun untuk penambahbaikan yang berterusan. Proses ini dijangka mengambil masa 22 bulan untuk dimuktamadkan, dan akan melibatkan konsultasi umum pada draf pertanyaan, mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Semakan Semula Standard (SRC), dan rundingan peringkat serantau. Semakan semula MC&I(Hutan Asli) dijangka dimuktamadkan dalam tahun 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Berdasarkan keputusan Dialog Pihak Berkepentingan MTCC (<\/span>MTCC Stakeholder Dialogue<\/em>) yang telah diadakan pada 28 Julai, semakan standard MC&I(Hutan Asli) ini akan turut memberi pertimbangan untuk menggabungkan dan menyeragamkan keperluan MC&I(Ladang Hutan) sebagai satu dokumen.<\/span><\/p>\n
