{"id":4139,"date":"2007-12-31T03:54:03","date_gmt":"2007-12-30T19:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mtcc.com.my\/expiry-of-validity-of-the-certificate-for-forest-management\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T14:51:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T14:51:46","slug":"expiry-of-validity-of-the-certificate-for-forest-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mtcc.monyads.com\/bm\/expiry-of-validity-of-the-certificate-for-forest-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Expiry of Validity of the Certificate for Forest Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">The <i>Certificate for Forest Management<\/i> issued to the Selangor FMU (FMC 02) and the Terengganu FMU (FMC 03) against the requirements of <i>MC&amp;I<\/i>(2001) have both expired on <b>13 December 2007 <\/b>and will not be renewed, in line with MTCC\u2019s decision to switch from the use of the <i>MC&amp;I<\/i>(2001) to <i>MC&amp;I<\/i>(2002).\u00a0 Both the Selangor and Terengganu FMUs have been assessed to the requirements of the <i>MC&amp;I<\/i>(2002) but were issued with Major Corrective Action Requests (CARs) that would need to be closed out prior to being eligible for certification.<\/p>\n<p>In light of the above development, all logs sourced from the Permanent Reserved Forests (PRFs) in the Selangor and Terengganu FMUs beginning <b>1 January 2008<\/b> (i.e. all logs accompanied by Removal Passes issued dated 1 January 2008 and onwards) will not be recognised as certified material under the MTCC timber certification scheme.
