{"id":4334,"date":"2018-03-13T04:19:53","date_gmt":"2018-03-13T04:19:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mtcc.com.my\/mtcc-showcases-benefits-of-timber-certifcation-at-efe-2018\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T14:51:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T14:51:25","slug":"mtcc-showcases-benefits-of-timber-certifcation-at-efe-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mtcc.monyads.com\/bm\/mtcc-showcases-benefits-of-timber-certifcation-at-efe-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"MTCC SHOWCASES BENEFITS OF TIMBER CERTIFICATION AT EFE 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) recently participated in the 14<sup>th<\/sup> edition of Export Furniture Exhibition Malaysia (EFE) 2018, held from 9<sup>th<\/sup> to 12<sup>th<\/sup> March 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, to further boost awareness for MTCS certification.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nResponding to rising demands for products with strong social or environmental credentials, MTCC believes this is the right time for furniture manufacturers to source responsibly so they will be able to convey to customers that the wood they are using originates from sustainability managed forests.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the nation\u2019s wooden furniture export amounted to RM1.8 billion representing 80 per cent of the total furniture export earnings.<\/p>\n<p>The Export Furniture Exhibition has been regarded by the furniture industry experts as one of Asia\u2019s premier sourcing platforms.\u00a0The event was presented by the Malaysia Furniture Council and organised by its wholly-owned company, EFE Expo Sdn Bhd.
